What is Interlibrary Loan?

If you need a book or a journal article that Krannert Memorial Library does not have, either in print or via our electronic sources, we can request it from other libraries on your behalf. The turnaround time is usually several days up to 2 weeks, depending on who is sending us the item. When we receive a copy of the book or article, you are notified. The check-out period for books varies, depending on the policies of the lending library. Articles are scanned, and the electronic copy is posted to your ILLiad account for online viewing. For more information on ILLiad and Interlibrary Loan, please refer to the library website.
